Start a conversation, create a connection

We created Bond Voyage because we got tired of skimming the surface. Whether we were hours into a road trip or tucked up at home, we wanted to ask each other the questions that actually mattered—the ones that made us laugh, think, and feel closer.

So we wrote 100 of them. Carefully. Tested them. Refined them. And now we're sharing them with you.

Play with your partner. Your best mates. Your kids. A stranger at a dinner party. Someone you've known forever. Bond Voyage works everywhere because curiosity is the same language we all speak.

Why connections matter

Real conversation is becoming rare. We scroll past each other. We ask "how are you?" without waiting for the answer. We're all busy, all distracted, all a little bit lonely.

But here's what we discovered: the best moments in life happen when we actually pay attention to each other. When we ask good questions and genuinely listen to the answers.

Bond Voyage is an invitation to do that on purpose. To slow down. To be curious. To remember why you care about the people sitting across from you.

Inside the box

Everything you need to spark real conversation:

  • 50 cards with 100 questions — each card has a 'Fun' question (lighthearted and designed for children to find interesting and accessible) and a 'Meaningful' question (thought-provoking and deeper). From "If you could have any superpower, what would it be?" to "What is something you are struggling with right now?"
  • Heart-to-Heart guide cards — simple tips on how to listen and share in a way that helps people feel truly heard
  • A keepsake box — compact enough for the glove box, beautiful enough for your coffee table
  • Created in Aotearoa — every question written, tested, and refined right here in Nelson
I want my own!

How it works

Gather two or more people — friends, family, someone new, someone you've known forever.

Take turns drawing a card and choosing a question — pick the 'Fun' side for something lighthearted, or the 'Meaningful' side if you're ready to go deeper.

You can both answer the same question, or each pick a different one. There's no right or wrong way to play.

Listen. Share. Ask follow-up questions. Go off on a tangent. Get lost in new stories. Let the conversation go wherever it flows.

There are no time limits, no winning or losing. Just genuine connection.

You can play for ten minutes or talk for hours. It's entirely up to you.

Who we are

We're Tom and Loren, and we live in Nelson, New Zealand. Ten years ago, we started asking each other curious questions on long drives across Aotearoa — partly to stay awake, partly because we genuinely wanted to know each other better.

Those conversations changed us. They made us laugh at things we'd never considered. They helped us understand each other in ways small talk never could. They deepened not just our partnership, but our friendship.

Over time, those questions became the heart of Bond Voyage.

We made this game because we believe everyone deserves to feel genuinely known by the people they care about. Not just liked. Not just tolerated. Actually known. And it starts with asking good questions and listening like it matters—because it does.
